Myofascial release therapy

back to overview

Myofascial release therapy

There are several movement-related problems that are not caused either by tense muscles or inflamed joints but by the body fascia. Fascia are the strong, tough connective tissues that surround all body structures – skeleton, muscles, ligaments and organs. They facilitate the smooth movements of muscles and ligaments over each other and often form the origins of muscles. In this way, all structures and organs are mutually interconnected.

Consequently, any injury, inflammation or agglutination of the fascia can cause pain or restrict movement at other points within the organism.

Myofascial release therapy resolves the agglutination of the fascia, thus relieving pain and normalising movements.
